We are one of if not the only operator that provides a managed transport solution, meaning you can call our office team for updates or clarification from a real person in real time.
How do I book my vehicle with you?
To request a quote simply click here to complete the online form.
You will then receive a quote and a booking reference number. Once all the details have been finalised and you are happy with the arrangements made to relocate your vehicle, the team at ASAP Car Transport will lock your booking in.
An invoice will then be emailed to you with online payment options including PoliPay (bank transfer) and Credit Card (standard cc fees apply).
Do I need to have vehicle insurance?
Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017 – Limited Carriers Risk
This means that ASAP Car Transport Limited is not responsible for damage, theft or vehicle contents. This extends to while in transit, parked or stored. Unless in the unlikely event we are at fault, our insurance covers up to $2000 incl GST for any liable damage only.
All non-runners and pre-damaged vehicles are relocated at the owner’s risk.
We recommend having comprehensive insurance cover in place (Normal full car insurance) and ensuring your policy extends to “in transit between places in New Zealand”. This covers your vehicle when using a professional transport provider, by definition a company with a Transport Service Licence.
CAN MY CAR BE TRANSPORTED DOOR TO DOOR?
ASAP Car Transport offer depot to depot and door to door services.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO DELIVER MY VEHICLE?
ASAP Car Transport operate 24/7, we run overnight direct services between Auckland and Christchurch, and through the majority of the South Island weekly.
This means your vehicle is not offloaded at multiple depots as it makes its way across the country, we move cars, not store them.
DO YOU GUARANTEE THE DELIVERY DATES?
ASAP Car Transport are the only transport service provider that will provide you with actual transport dates and times prior to booking.

Short of a natural disaster or ferry sailing cancellation our team will deliver on their promise.
Does your quote include the Cook Strait Ferry Cost?
Yes it does.
Once we have confirmed your addresses at both collection and delivery our quotes will always be all inclusive.
We are pre booked on all Cook Strait crossings for 4 – 6 months in advance, to ensure no demand based booking excuses.
In the scenario where ferry sailings are cancelled this also gives us priority in re-booking a space to ensure minimum to no time lost
My vehicle does not run, can you still transport it?
Our transporters are fitted with a winch system so we can load & unload non-runners.
These vehicles must roll, steer and ideally have a working handbrake.
Relocating a non-runner carries a surcharge on top of our standard rates.
We transport a lot of specialty and lowered vehicles, even non running projects, so just give us a call.
Do you collect cars from Car Dealers, auction yards etc?
Absolutely.
As a part of ASAP Car Transport door to door service this can be arranged.
Ensure you provide us with collection & delivery addresses on your quote request and we will include door to door.
My Car has been lowered, should I be concerned about damage?
Unlike many long-haul car transporters, the ASAP transporters have a specialised truck & trailer combination.
Our unique trailer design allows it to kneel all the way to the ground, offering a 6 degree load angle, so unlike many other operators, we can load your vehicle with clearance to spare.
We are regularly trusted with exotic sports and supercars for exactly this reason.
